What to do this Sept : Ramsbottom Fest

2nd September 2013 Posted by numagoo

Here at Numagoo HQ we are all for celebrating local attractions and events. With the festival season coming to a close, Ramsbottom in Greater Manchester (not too far from our old base in Saddleworth) is hosting Ramsbottom Festival 13th – 15th of September.

It might not be as familiar to you as Glastonbury and the others. However, it brings an electric mix of established international musicians, emerging talents and DJs.

You can enjoy the music alongside sampling local food and beers from the Lancashire hills.Real Ale is a big part of the festival. Bury’s own award winning brewery Outstanding created a beer just for the festival.

Big name artists such as Futureheads, Richard Hawley and Sinead O’Connor will grace the main stage.  If you are looking for an undiscovered act Ramsbottom is perfect. Featuring many small acts which really gives the festival its friendly wholesome feel. Its especially refreshing to see so many Northern based musicians on the line up. To name just a few;

Rene – Manchester Soul Funk Five Piece

Oski Bremwich – Young, alt-rock band from Bury

Twisted Wheel – One of Manchester’s most hotly tipped Indie band.

If you don’t fancy a whole weekend camping, you can opt for a day ticket. Priced fairly at £25 for an adult, £5 for 6 – 16 and free for under 6 year olds.

So, if you are fancying one final festival. Here at Numagoo we advise sampling some Northern music, food, beer and weather at Ramsbottom Festival!
