What to do in Manchester After New Year

9th January 2014 Posted by numagoo

This week saw many of us return to work. We have apparently all survived the most depressing day of the year (7th Jan) To celebrate such an achievement Numagoo has put together places you could visit in in Manchester after new year. If you go to any of the events we mention in our Manchester blog, tell us about it and you never know could be featured in an upcoming post.

Festival of Imagination. 15th Jan – 19th Feb. This January sees the launch of Selfridges unique festival ‘Festival of Imagination.’ The iconic establishment is lending itself to become a portal into the creative mind and exploring the power of imagination. There are ample events for you to choose from, audiences with some of Britains most respected authors, musicians and actors. Its a really exciting event and we’re delighted its happening in Manchester.

Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell at The Gallery of Costume. 30th January to 29th June.  This free exhibition is really worth a visit. The star of the show is local designer Ossie Clark. The collection highlights the new cuts and line that Clark pioneered in women’s fashion. His designed were worn by the likes of The Beatles and Mick Jagger.

Fig + Sparrow. Northern Quarter. This cute cafe on Oldham Street is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee, browse local art and craft creations. The coffee shop doubles as coffee shop and gift shop – killing two birds with one stone (excuse the pun).

If you know of any events or hidden gems in and around Manchester let us know. We appreciate customer feedback and input. Enjoy the New Year by finding your new favourite haunt.
